37 People Killed Due to Cold Weather in Ukraine





Moscow - Attack cold weather continued casualties in Ukraine. A total of 19 people were killed in 24 hours in the middle of the air temperature is only minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Thus, it means so far, already 37 people who died due to cold weather throughout the month of December.

This was conveyed by the Russian Health Ministry said in a statement as reported by AFP on Tuesday (12/18/2012). Most of the victims died in the hospital, but some who die at home or freeze to death in the street.

Delivered ministry, around 190 people required medical attention due to having hiportemia and frostbite. Of that amount, 162 of whom had to be hospitalized.

Air strikes and blizzards to have plagued Ukraine since last week. Even last week, the flow of electricity in nearly 600 villages cut off by the snow storm.

Temperatures dropped to minus 16 degrees Celsius in central and southern Ukraine. While in the Lugansk region, air temperature minus 23 degrees Celsius. Ukrainian government also announced that it has opened more than 200 emergency shelters in the country.
