London and Paris Stock Market Up Ahead of Christmas
British and French stock markets pegged higher in opening deals on Monday, but the Frankfurt stock market had closed before Christmas.
London's FTSE 100 index of large companies increased marginally by 0.08 per cent to 5,944.60 points and in Paris the CAC 40 index increased 0.04 percent to 3,662.93. Both markets will be closed early ahead of Christmas celebrations.
Before this weekend, index Frankfurt the DAX, down 0.47 percent 30 on Friday and ended at 7,636.23 points.
All three markets will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will reopen for business on Thursday.
