Spain Announces Tax Increase Consumer Prices sum of 3%

Spain on Thursday reported a 3.0 percent rise in consumer prices in the year to November, blaming the sales tax increase intended to help the public deficit.


Inflation was down from 3.5 percent rate posted in September and October, show a number of reports of the Office of National Statistics, as fuel prices ease slightly lower passenger costs.


Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy who berhalauan right to raise the highest rate of sales tax to 21 percent from 18 percent on Sept. 1 as part of efforts to reduce the public deficit to swell Spain.
