UN Nuclear Team will Continue Negotiations with Iran


Tehran - Iran and the UN atomic watchdog on Thursday agreed to resume talks on its controversial nuclear program of the Islamic Republic in Tehran on January 16, said a senior Iranian official.


"We agreed to do the next stage of talks in Tehran on January 16," said Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran's representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency was quoted by the media.


The talks were held in a single day is Thursday talks "constructive, positive, and good progress has been achieved," he added.


No other information about the negotiations that lasted from early morning until late at night.


The agency wanted to inspect Parchin, a restricted military compound near Tehran, where the IAEA suspects a number of experiments with explosives that could trigger a nuclear weapon.
