PM: 2012 "Extraordinary Year" for England

Prime Minister David Cameron said that 2012 was "an exceptional year" for the UK that would "show the world what we are made" with the London Games and the diamond jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.


In his Christmas message, Cameron said that some of the festivals conducted in good time to look back 12 months ago.


"Christmas gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us, when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the coming year," he said.


"2012 was an exceptional year for our country."


"We cheered for our Queen jubilee celebration, show the world what we have achieved with the Olympic Games and Paralympic menyelenggrakan most spectacular, dams do not forget, reviewing how the medals."


Cameron include religious tones in his message, quoting the Gospel of John.


The message centered on his belief comes amid anger from senior MPs Church of England and the traditional conservative party over plans to allow same-sex marriage.


"However you celebrate this time of year, it is my hope and prayer that you have a happy and peaceful Christmas," according to the message.
