Cocaine Seized Bulk in Honduras

Honduras authorities on Thursday seized what they found that 15 to 20 tons of cocaine in a garden located in the northern part of the capital.


Drug types are hidden in a 15-meter tunnel found in a garden, in the department of Yoro, about 200 kilometers north of Tegucigalpa, Elvis said Guzman, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office.


"All of that found its lead on the type of cocaine," he said.


Honduras, like the other Central American countries, a major transit point for South American drugs moving to the United States.


At least 12 people were arrested in a series of raids that began at the weekend, and resulted in the seizure were worth 100 million U.S. dollars (about Rp957, 8 billion) in its properties.
